Templated motor design — stop modelling from scratch
Simcenter Motorsolve is a dedicated electric machine design tool with built-in topology templates for rapid electromagnetic, thermal and structural analysis.
Designing a motor in general-purpose FE software means a lot of setup: stator and rotor laminations, winding layout, materials and excitation all have to be built by hand. Motorsolve turns common machine types — interior permanent magnet, surface PM, induction, switched reluctance — into parametric templates, so filling in parameters produces a complete model.
It also links electromagnetics, thermal and NVH: electromagnetic losses pass directly to thermal as heat sources, and electromagnetic force waves drive NVH analysis without anyone carrying data across. For traction motor, industrial servo and domestic appliance motor teams, that shortens concept iterations substantially.
