Overview

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is the Siemens flagship for computational fluid dynamics, covering flow, heat transfer, multiphase, reacting flow, aeroacoustics, solid stress and electromagnetic heating. Its defining trait is automation: surface preparation, meshing and solver setup — much of what once required manual expert work — are now streamlined workflows.

That means CFD no longer has to be the preserve of a few specialists. Process engineers can run routine analyses after training, while enough depth remains for aeroacoustics, combustion and fluid-structure interaction.
