ICX is Siemens' enterprise agent platform launched in 2026, solving the "pilot paradox" of industrial AI — companies don't lack chatbots, they lack a skeleton that lets models understand their own data and business rules. ICX connects data scattered across PLM, ERP, MES and other systems into a unified semantic layer using W3C-standard knowledge graphs (RDF / SPARQL / OWL / SHACL), so AI agents analyze problems and execute tasks in a traceable, auditable context.
It shares one architecture with Siemens PLM: ICX provides data context, model management and agent orchestration, while Teamcenter, Designcenter, Simcenter and Opcenter provide executable engineering objects and business tools — the LLM understands intent, industrial ontologies bound the context, the digital thread defines the process, and industrial software completes execution and validation.
