HEEDS is a design space exploration and multidisciplinary optimisation platform that drives any simulation tool to search for optimal designs automatically — turning a handful of manual trials into thousands of algorithmic ones.

Overview

The usual optimisation routine is to change a few dimensions, run a handful of cases and pick something that looks reasonable. The weakness is obvious: how far you explore depends on the engineer’s experience and patience, and parameter interactions are largely guesswork. HEEDS wraps the simulation process and explores the design space with intelligent search algorithms.

It is solver agnostic: Simcenter, Abaqus, ANSYS or an in-house code — anything callable in batch. For companies with a mature simulation workflow that is the practical part: you do not start over, you plug it in and gain automated optimisation immediately.
